Mühlner Motorsport is set to open a very special chapter next week: the long-established team from the Belgian Ardennes will contest the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa with a Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO, marking the team’s 60th participation in a 24-hour race. On the legendary Ardennes rollercoaster of Spa-Francorchamps, Mühlner Motorsport will compete in the Bronze class with its iconic car number 123.The CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa is one of the biggest and most demanding GT3 races in the world. The 78th edition takes place from 24 to 28 June 2026, with the race starting on Saturday, 27 June at 16:30 local time. A world-class grid of 70 GT3 cars from 10 manufacturers will take on the 7.004-kilometre Spa-Francorchamps circuit. For Mühlner Motorsport, returning to this stage is more than just another race entry: it is a statement of intent, a celebration of the team’s history, and the beginning of a new chapter in GT3 competition.Mühlner Motorsport can look back on more than four decades of motorsport experience. Endurance classics at the Nürburgring, Daytona, Dubai, Barcelona, Bahrain, Tokachi and many other venues have been part of the team’s story, alongside the breathtaking race at Spa. Over the years, the team has celebrated numerous class victories, podium finishes and international successes. Spa, however, holds a particularly special place in that history. Mühlner Motorsport raced here many decades ago, has enjoyed major success on this circuit, and has built a strong emotional connection with car number 123.“Spa is more than a race for us – it is pure passion,” says Bernie Mühlner, team founder and CEO of Mühlner Motorsport. “We are at home in the Ardennes, we have known this race for decades, and we understand what it means to compete here for 24 hours against the best GT3 teams in the world. Our 60th 24-hour race makes this start especially emotional. With our return to GT3, a new era begins for Mühlner Motorsport.”The anniversary will also be visible on track. The Porsche 911 GT3 R will run in a special livery featuring a golden roof, paying tribute to the team’s endurance racing heritage while looking ahead to the future. The design is intended to create a distinctive presence on track and underline the importance of this entry: Mühlner Motorsport returns to one of international GT racing’s biggest stages with experience, ambition and passion.Tobias Müller is the first confirmed driver for the number 123 Porsche. The remaining driver line-up will be announced in due course. The team approaches the race with a clear philosophy: rely on experience, execute with precision, complete every hour with focus, and take the opportunity to deliver a strong result at its home classic in the Ardennes.“We have often shown at Spa that precision, teamwork and endurance can make the difference,” Bernie Mühlner adds. “This race does not forgive mistakes. It challenges drivers, engineers, mechanics and strategists alike. That is exactly what makes it so special. Our goal is to run a clean, strong race with car number 123 and to celebrate this anniversary in the right way.”After 59 previous 24-hour race appearances, Mühlner Motorsport now reaches number 60 – and there could hardly be a more fitting venue than Spa-Francorchamps. For the team from the Belgian Ardennes, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa is not only a sporting highlight, but an emotional milestone: past, present and future come together on a circuit that has been part of Mühlner Motorsport’s heartbeat for decades.
